Lost Lakes

Small reservoirs off the Pacific Crest Trail near the Forestdale Summit area, Sierra Nevada, California, USA. The drought has obviously hit these lakes hard. The conical mountain in the distance is Markleeville Peak.

Thanks, everyone! Les, those trees are completely barkless. The white is the "bathtub ring" from when the reservoir was higher, where the water bleached the wood.
