Vasquez Rocks

Southern California, USA. A Los Angeles county park just off the Antelope Freeway as it heads down into the San Fernando Valley. It's the site of numberless movies--Westerns, sci-fi, etc. It's an area in Hollywood's back yard that can stand in for elsewhere in the West, or even as an alien planet! It's also close enough to the studios that they could shoot here on a day trip and not have to pay the actors and crew per diem.
