It's definitely worth a visit. Curiously, thru historical accident, it's not a park but privately owned, but the exhibits and interpretive signs are nonetheless reasonably accurate. The late Gene Shoemaker, who was my undergraduate adviser, worked out the impact origin of the crater in the late 50s, and it became his Ph.D. thesis at Princeton. George, there are lots of documented impact craters in Australia--that's what Shoemaker was working on at the time of his death.
