View south from Mt. Elwell (7818 ft/2383 m)

At the vague northern end of the Sierra Nevada, California, overlooking Lakes Basin. The various lakes are labeled with inserts. The craggy peaks right in the center are the Sierra Buttes (8591 ft/2619 m); the distant peak to the left of them, on the skyline, is (I think) Mt. Lola (9148 ft/2788 m). The insert on the ridge to the right of the Sierra Buttes shows the view back to this point from the Pacific Crest Trail.
