Susan River

Lassen County, California, USA. Along the Bizz Johnson hiking/biking trail outside Susanville, California, which follows an old railroad grade. Susanville and the Susan River were named for Susan Roop, daughter of Isaac Roop, first territorial governor of Nevada. At that time, before any formal survey, it was thought that Susanville lay in Nevada.
The river is low because it's late in the season.
