Hoodoo

Fisher Towers, Utah, USA. Near Moab. Balanced rocks like this have been used to infer the level of paleoseismic activity. It doesn't take much of an earthquake to knock 'em down! This sort of study was pioneered by Jim Brune, professor emeritus at the University of Nevada, Reno seismo lab.
