Quarried blocks, Aztec Sandstone


Red Rock Canyon Recreation Area, southern Nevada, USA. In the early 20th century (1920s, IIRC) there was an attempt to quarry the sandstone for decorative stone. It foundered due to sheer remoteness and the onset of the Depression.
