Northern Nevada

View slightly north of west from the Eugene Mountains just south of the Chicken Basin Creek drainage. The white flat on this side of the mountains in the middle distance (outlined) is Jungo Playa. At highest magnifications you can (barely) see the railroad crossing thru there. That's the original Feather River route (Western Pacific), now part of the Union Pacific system. From here it crosses the low pass toward the top center of the photo on its way to California thru the Black Rock desert. Just a tiny edge of the Black Rock playa can be seen (also outlined).
