Repaired loading chute

Evidently it's still in use because new boards have been used to fix it! Seven Troughs area, Nevada, USA.
Much of the US mountain West (including here) is public land belonging to the Federal government, and is administered by Federal agencies, mostly the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). They collect grazing fees for the use of the lands by stock, and limit the number of animals per unit area. The BLM has a thankless job; the environmentalists tend to think they're the lackeys of the mining and ranching interests ("the Bureau of Livestock and Mining"), while the miners and ranchers think they're the tools of the environmentalists! I don't know what the rules are about construction of livestock infrastructure such as this (loading chutes, corrals, etc.); they may be on private inholdings.
