Hickison Summit Petroglyphs
Just off US Highway 50 (and the Lincoln Highway) in the middle of Nevada. The area is now a roadside stop/interpretive area managed by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management).

I've stayed in the campground there, it's fairly simple but nice because the area is so quiet.

It's also worth taking the (short) interpretive trail if you haven't done so. You end up at an overlook over Big Smoky Valley, looking south.

I've done the trail a couple of times. I agree, its well worth it (and easy).
