Open day old pumping station “De Antagonist”

Built as a steam pumping station in 1882, but it switched from steam to diesel in 1930. The Crossley single cylinder 126 hp engine was a good investment, because it was in operation until 1998. It is still the property of the Water Board Rijnland and they had an open day on May 12, 2012. The Crossley could be seen in operation and there were a couple of stationary engines outside.
