Venice 2022 – Molino Stucky

A former flour mill and pasta factory, built between 1891-1895 by Giovanni Stucky. He became very rich, but he was murdered in 1910 by an ex employee of the factory. His son took over, but business slumped in the 1930s because of the economic policies of the Mussolini government. Stucky had to sell possessions acquired by his father, such as the Palazzo Grassi. He died under mysterious circumstances in 1941. The factory closed in 1955. Since 2007 the Venice Hilton is located here.
