Canada 2016 – Toronto – Brendan Behan in Toronto

Brendan Behan was an Irish playwright and writer. He was also known for his drinking. In 1961 he went to Toronto, to host a Jazz revue. It was not a success and Behan went on a drinking binge. He was arrested by the police and fined $200 in the resulting court case. He left Toronto and three years later he died.
