While the rest of Germany likes big beer glasses of 0.5 or 1 litre, the inhabitants of Cologne drink out of a so-called Stange, which contains 0.2 litre. The local brew is Kölsch. Traditionally your glass is refilled automatically, until you place the beer mat on top of the glass.
