Rule #1 of photography: Take pictures from an unusual angle

If you want to make pictures more interesting, take pictures that show something the human eye normally doesn't see. One method is taking pictures from a low angle, but a high angle works too. Other methods are using wide-angle or telelenses, strange colours (such as HDR) or caught-in-the-moment pictures such as high-speed action frozen in time.
