Double-headed eagle
The Austrian-Hungarian empire consisted of the Austrian empire and the Hungarian kingdom, hence the two heads on the eagle. In the middle the imperial crown. You can find the same crown in the coat of arms of Amsterdam, after emperor Maximilian bestowed that privilige on Amsterdam in 1489.
