Sunday afternoon in Leiden
At the spot where the two Rhines, the Old and the New, flow together. We are looking towards the west and the sea. Behind the photographer a citadel (Burcht) was built in the early Middle Ages (still there) to control this point, to levy taxes and so on. Now everybody can pass freely.
