Bloemendaal: House

Bloemendaal is the richest town in the Netherlands. Lots of big houses. This is one of the smaller ones. The real big houses are more difficult to photograph, as they are obscured by trees and shrubberies.
These houses were built on the remnants of the great estates established by rich businessmen in the 17th and 18th century. Estates were broken up as part of an inheritance or when there was no money to keep up the estate.
