Alnwick

In the 1430s a wall and battlements were added to the town of Alnwick in Northumberland. These took fifty years to complete, with Bondgate Tower being finished around 1450. Alnwick, Northumberland. IMG8201

Sir Henry Percy, nicknamed Hotspur, was an English knight who fought in several campaigns against the Scots and against the French during the Hundred Years' War.
