Room of the Worshipper

This is one of the most striking rooms of the Roman Houses, namely the Room of the Worshipper, which is named after one of the subjects represented in the room. The decorations date back to the fourth century.
The vault, only partially preserved, allows us to understand the cultural climate in Roman society between the third and fourth centuries, when Christian elements in decorations reflected the growing popularity of Christianity.
Completely undamaged is the famous image of a female worshipper figure, which prompts the present name of the room.
Case Romane (Roman Houses), Rome, Italy.
