Paper Weaving Project

I taught a lesson in paper weaving to 150 volunteer docents in a workshop today (and will do the same again tomorrow). The prep notes encouraged schools to bring a variety of paper strips--wrapping paper, magazines, wall paper, calendars, posters, maps, menus, whatever--and they did!

I taught a lesson in paper weaving to 150 volunteer docents in a workshop today (and will do the same again tomorrow). This is what one of the docent projects looked like nearing completion. This one has a lot of scrapbooking scraps, some newsprint and I think there's a menu in there too? Added to A Month of Gratitude, 11.4.10: I'm grateful for a room full of art-teaching volunteers who were full of great ideas, and came up with creative solutions to some tricky parts of the lesson.
