Made for a friend (so they're her old shoes, repainted)--used to be black clogs, now they're blue, purple and turquoise, with a photo of Welsh poet and navigation teacher Sarah Jane Rees (aka Cranogwen; 1839-1916), from the National Library of Wales uploads to Flickr Commons (see below).

Maiden voyage of my May Bradford shoes was today, walked a kid to school in them. They worked for me, and they survived just fine. ;)

I found some red Dansko shoes in my size, great condition, for $5 at a thriftshop. Just a little scuffed up, maybe, and I already have plenty of red shoes, so.... My first pair of Flickr Commons shoes. Upcycled with gesso, acrylic paints, modpodge, paper collage, sharpies, krylon, using the same techniques as my purses. Score at the thriftshop last month--current LA designer, in excellent shape and in my size. $4. And I wear them a lot.
