Beginning of 2013's series, "All the Skirts in my Closet." I have too many skirts. But until I wear them, I won't know what has to leave. So, starting today, I'm going to wear all the skirts--trying not to repeat--until I'm through the whole mess. Might take me till summer. Stay tuned.

Sweater: One Below Old Navy (thrifted)
Skirt: Coldwater Creek (thrifted)
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Easy Spirit

This isn't my cutest skirt, but it's my WARMEST skirt (wool, lined), and it has pockets. Whenever I wear this skirt, I think of explorer Mary Kingsley's quote, upon falling 15 feet into an animal trap full of spikes: “It is at these times you realised the blessing of a good thick skirt.”
