Melba Roy Purse (side)

Created for the NASA remix Challenge #12 - The Heart Of Space
A thrifted black purse that I upcycled with gesso, acrylic paint, sharpies, inks, paper collage, and modpodge.
The background painting was inspired by the NASA Remix Project's current challenge, which includes the "Heart of Orion" image this time.
www.flickr.com/groups/nasa-remix/discuss/72157623329574336/
The foreground is an image from the GRIN Archives (Great Images in NASA), an online collection of historical images. It's from 1964, and features Melba Roy, a mathematician at Goddard Space Flight Center, in front of a very large IBM computer. (#64-H-2487).
SOLD 2/10.
