Edible Book Festival entry: The Secret Life of Bees

For Zoe Toft's International Edible Books Festival 2013:

We restaged the cover of "The Secret Life of Bees," a book my daughter was assigned at school this year (7th grade). The "honey" is actually honey-lemon iced tea; the bees are made from raisins, jellybeans, licorice, and sliced almonds, all skewered with toothpicks and balanced on drinking straws.
