Cormorant Fisherman, China

I've received notifications from Ipernity that Isisbridge has added this (and other pictures) to "their" favourites. You must be more than one person. How strange.

I am at least three different people of varying ages.

This has got to be your best shot ever, but I don't think I added it to my or their favourites,
as I try to keep my front page as English-looking as possible.

It's a good one but anyone there with a bridge camera or smartphone would have got a similar picture. Today 99% of the cormorant "fishermen" don't fish; they just go through the motions - paddling the reed boats around and throwing nets - for the benefit of paying tourists; they're no more genuine than Morris dancers and beefeeters are in the UK . Hence there are a million similar pictures, some taken under better lighting and luck with timing and are much better than this.

Doesn't matter. You've caught a wonderfully atmospheric background. Or is it Shepperton?
