Fifty years ago; how much has changed. Seldom do we now see a candlewick bedspread; a headboard fixed to a wall; melamine on chipboard for furniture. Even the style of light switch has changed. And neckties! What happened to them? A great period piece.

Thanks. So have I changed, physically, and not for the better. But I still wear a necktie.

The fitted headboard and shelves were made in 1960, and were still in use 52 years later.

On the shelf, bottom left, is a UV light, the type that made our (white cotton) underwear glow in the dark.
