The Quainton Road site of 100+ years ago saw the convergence of three distinct railway lines but the station closed to all passenger services in 1963. Today's Buckinghamshire Railway Centre houses a huge variety of locomotives, units and rolling stock in, it has to be said, varying conditions.
To this day, trains pass through to and from a landfill site at Calvert.
