DS 7 Crossback - 7 March 2021

My fairly selective collection of photographs of cars and vans grows today with the addition of this picture of a 2020 DS 7 Crossback in a Lee on Solent car park.
It is a good looking car but, as a regular purchaser of new cars, I ask myself a question. Why buy the ostensible luxury version of a given brand when the mainstream cars of today are (mostly) so good. The DS brand has been decoupled from Citroën but the comparison with models from the erstwhile parent is still there to be made. As one would ask elsewhere, why buy a Lexus when one could have a perfectly acceptable Toyota?
