Lecture Hall, Wisbech - 13 October 2020

Lecture Hall, Norwich Road, Wisbech.

This is one of those fascinating relics one finds around a place if one looks closely enough. I was photographing nearby Chinese takeaways for another site when I noticed the inscription on this small building on the south side of Norwich Road. It is evident that the next substantial stretch to the west (right) has been redeveloped. It is Lake Court. The erstwhile lecture hall appears now to be an electricity substation, the doors being of that sort, but I understand that it was once (1970s) a shop.
