This is one of many photographs in the informally named A1 series. With the closure of the viewing area during coronavirus, photographers at Solent Airport have had to be creative and determined, shooting mostly through the fence. My preferred vantage point is perpendicular to holding point A1 where most departing aircraft pause or at least slow down. A small but capable camera overcomes the problem of the fence but the downside is that shutter priority on the otherwise wonderful TZ70 does not offer enough zoom for optimal shots so one has to go with auto and hope for at least a little prop blur.
