My film days did not see me record many cars and I now regret that. I hope to rectify that in the digital era but with certain constraints. I have often asserted that good photographs (a subjective judgement anyway) require motivation and the majority of modern cars do not, frankly, provide that. So, I am confining myself to certain makes or cars which have something extra that makes them interesting. That principle gave rise to my 'Estate Agents Cars' album.

On a technical note, I keep at my disposal a number of different cameras. Not every subject requires the fine quality of my D5300; the compact TZ70 has proved commendably versatile in a range of circumstances and here I have turned to my FZ200, the best for waist level photography.
