Dan-Air Comet G-BDIX
National Museum of Flight, East Fortune.
De Havilland DH106 Comet 4C G-BDIX of Dan-Air. There are three major aircraft stored outside at East Fortune and they are looking, perhaps inevitably, a little faded. I hope they will receive appropriate attention when funding allows. The Dan-Air Comet is something I saw but did not photograph in service so I am happy to be able to photograph one now. In my opinion, the preservation status of the Comet in the UK underrates its significance in aviation history.
