After Zany Zebras_015 - 7 August 2019

If there is one thing more pleasurable than telling a story, as I love to do through my photographs, it is adding another chapter or, rather, another image. Long after the public art events Zany Zebras (summer 2016) and Go! Rhinos (summer 2013), both held in and around Southampton, the August sunshine brought three of the animals out in the garden of a Lee on Solent residence. I have photographed then all before but not with zebras and rhino together.
Sarah Rosie's Bunty (Let's Go Fly A Kite!) and Denise Hughes' Glitter Fish flank the now slightly weathered rhino Coral by Nathan Smith.
By way of a teaser (for those of you who are remotely interested), even this is not the last planned chapter in this story as I have tracked down a rhino and zebra pair and am awaiting their restoration. At the moment, sadly, they're not completely lacquered.
