Transformer (2) - 4 July 2019

As work progressed well with IFA2, the Interconnector being built in Fareham on a site on the north side of Daedalus, the first two transformers arrived by barge at the hovercraft slipway on 2 July 2019. The first was moved on 3 July using specialist equipment supplied by ALE and travelled via the extended Daedalus site and then Broom Way. On the evening of 4 July, the second transformer could still be seen at the south end of Daedalus on ground formerly used by the adjacent Hovercraft Museum and now more commonly used for the storage/parking of commercial vehicles.
