Great Western Railway Class 143 dmu 143619 leaving Exeter St Davids platform 2 with a Barnstaple service. The track gang were working their way northwards with frequent pauses as there was plenty of traffic. The GWR livery is quite difficult to capture. The way this unit limped and rattled its way out of the station simply drew attention to its bus-like appearance.
