HLB Class 429 at Frankfurt (3) - 12 January 2019

At Germany's major stations, some relief from the many ICE formations and, indeed, the dull red of regular DB stock can be found with the regional operators. Here, two class 429 emus of HLB (Hessische Landesbahn) stand at platform 15 at Frankfurt am Main Hbf. As is common in Germany, the formation will divide en route. The unit on the left, 429 545 forms the 1221 RE98 to Kassel Hbf and 429 042, right, the 1221 RE99 to Siegen. The train will divide at Gießen.
