Škoda Ambulance Duo - 3 December 2018

As the sun fell away from a December sky, the light fell kindly on this pair of Škoda ambulance vehicles at East Midlands Airport. The Superb FG16BVN is clearly marked for Air Ambulance; the Octavia, FP61LTZ, is believed to be registered with East Midlands Ambulance Service but also in use with the The Air Ambulance Service. The cabin can be seen behind and, between the cabins, you can just glimpse the rotor blades of the helicopter.

The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) operates two emergency air ambulances, the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. It also operates the national Children's Air Ambulance, an emergency transfer service for seriously ill babies and children.
