One thing I love about Florida is seeing the lizards out and about. Numerous varieties are beyond my knowledge to properly identify. Some are less nervous than others and this creature, at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Miami, paused long enough for a portrait.

I had an old, much loved uncle who was a sort of lizard-charmer. He'd put out a finger and soon enough a wee saurian would approach and nozzle it.
