The Hard Interchange (2) - 8 May 2017

The new building at The Hard Interchange, Portsmouth brings a much-needed lift to a pretty depressing area. It replaces a much duller, uninspired structure but stands in the shadow of some examples of long-standing urban decay. There is a lot of work to be done in this area in spite of the isolated brightness of Gunwharf Quays in the immediate vicinity. The most obvious candidate for improvement is the shamefully shabby Portsmouth Harbour station.

Buses and coaches were due to start using the forecourt on 14 May 2017.
