Nice Gare du Sud [train shed] (2) - 22 April 2017

My heart leapt with joy when I unexpectedly came across this sight (and site) in Nice. Nice Gare du Sud closed in 1991 and had been the subject of various wrangles and possible fates for most of the time since. The beautiful Gustave Eiffel train shed is something to behold and has been returned to and is now, mercifully, being incorporated into the Gare du Sud development of residential, retail and leisure properties. These views, then, capture a moment in time as construction continues apace.
