Renault Dauphine (2M) - 2 July 2016


More than two million Renault Dauphines were produced in an eleven year production run which ended in 1967 so perhaps I should not be surprised to find a survivor. Nevertheless, I was very pleased to come across this Dutch registered example, BT-29-59, at the Café Restaurant Dauphine near Amstel station in Amsterdam.
This shot emphasises the skinny tyres which were perfectly normal 50+ years ago.
