Before Zany Zebras_034 - 30 April 2016

Following the success of the public art event Go! Rhinos in the summer of 2013, Marwell Zoo brought Zany Zebras to Southampton in 2016. My photographs from today in my 'Before Zany Zebras' series are the first in that series to venture beyond Marlands Shopping Centre.

A zebra is being prepared by the staff of Hobbycraft in their West End, Southampton store and is due to be ready in about two more weeks. The accompanying drawings give an impression of its intended appearance but I noted that a great deal of additional detail is planned for the finished figure.
