Fallen from Grace - 14 April 2016

A walk along the car park at the side of the Hiller Aviation Museum, San Carlos Airport. There are few vehicles. Something is in the middle of the tarmac. It is flapping gently in the wind. It is a discarded model aeroplane. It has on it a handwritten name which looks like 'Grace' (although, on closer examination of the picture, I am having second thoughts). Perhaps this was a small souvenir for one of the many excited children who visit the museum. Perhaps Grace was excited too but then lost quickly in the next distraction at an age when everything is a wonder. Perhaps the model was dropped in haste as harried parents or teachers hustled their wards into a car or a bus. Perhaps Grace looked back tearfully at the small toy she was not going to see again.

Every picture tells a story but sometimes you have to write the final chapter yourself.
