Kenley Aerodrome Today (5) - 17 October 2015

Quiet today with powered flight prohibited and only gliding activities by the Surrey Hills Gliding Club and 615 VGS, Kenley Aerodrome, the former RAF Kenley is an historic site which was of particular importance in the Battle of Britain and throughout WWII.

A number of blast pens are still intact and the Kenley Airfield Friends Group has recently received confirmation of a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to help with their restoration.
