Orange Appeal - 12 October 2015

At a time of slight photographic drought - attributable to a lack of both opportunities and inspiration - it was not planned that yesterday's Beetle pictures would be followed by more but an urban wander brought me across two more and a third I could not photograph.

Reusing a title from September 2011 is, I think, inevitable for this bright and well-cared for Beetle seen at a commercial premises in Fitzherbert Road, Farlington.

It is astonishing how many older Beetles survive to bring joy to their owners and onlookers. I am not sure that there is any equivalent amongst cars of a similar age except VW's own Campers and, perhaps, the Morris Minor. I hope to document as many as possible of all three types in my albums.
