Auckland Dockline Tram (1) - 22 February 2015

Auckland Dockline Tram No. 257 is an X1 class and one of 10 single truck tramcars constructed by the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board in 1926 for use on lightly trafficked lines. Its former fleet number was No. 466. The elegant vehicle is seen in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter where it shares duties on a purpose built 1.5km loop line with No. 258. Both run in the Auckland Tramways carnation red and cream livery of the 1930s.
