Sculpture needs sometimes to be photographed in a less 'factual' way to go beyond a record of the work and, through the picture, to add a little more art to the world. I shot Moore's piece directly into a setting sun which is diffused by the trees and is beginning also to slide behind the buildings. The result is a subtly toned image (without pp except straightening) but with the available light still falling on the sculpture.
