San Juan Railway Legacy (2) - 29 January 2014

In a scene reminiscent of part of the High Line in New York, ornamental trolleys sit astride rail tracks along the refurbished Pier 6 and surrounds in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The surprising information to be read on nearby placards is that the island once had a 300 mile railway network including that on the quays. In the background is 'Caballito del Mar' (The Seahorse) by El Artistico (José Ignacio Morales).
