i agree, this one is there more to give an idea of the winter night ambiance ...
i had this Magritte painting in head while i worked on it and images from a meddley of books .... Sand, De Nerval, Hugo, Shakespeare ... lot of things are passing trough ... quite a nice mess

Was it Magritte's "Empire of Light" ? I saw it in pictures, then went to Venice where it lives at the Guggenheim. It was wonderful, and so large that it felt as though you could walk into it. I wonder what the painting is about. Being outside, wanting to be inside? That's the feeling I get...But then being outside feels so good, being in that beautiful darkness. Perhaps it is in that moment of being between that we want to stay.

the strange side of my souvenir of this painting is that i remembered the darkness, the ligth in the dark, instead of the improbable wedding of night and day ...
